International Republican Institute (IRI)

IRI is a nonpartisan, nongovernmental organization that implements high impact democracy and governance programs in more than 100 countries since 1983—in Africa, Asia, Eurasia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Middle East and North Africa—and currently has offices in more than 40 countries worldwide. IRI works to promote democratic governance by strengthening citizen voices and help make their leaders more accountable and responsive, promoting the rights of women, youth, and marginalized communities, and keeping citizens and their governments connected. IRI works to link political parties and people, build citizen centered governance, bring citizens together, ensure elections count, and amplify marginalized voices.
