How Social Accountability Strengthens Cross-Sector Initiatives to Deliver Quality Health Services

Much of social accountability practice is collaborative – programmatic, focused on solving problems and working with public sector reforms. That is, collaborative social accountability is part of the team (or the suit of interventions) that contributes to health outcomes and impacts, rather than go at it alone.

about the webinar

Much of social accountability practice is collaborative – programmatic, focused on solving problems and working with public sector reforms. That is, collaborative social accountability is part of the team (or the suit of interventions) that contributes to health outcomes and impacts, rather than go at it alone.
We are learning from collaborative social accountability processes as part of a team. These processes can contribute to health service delivery through:

  • improving the quality of design of public sector reforms
  • mitigating risks associated with the implementation of sectoral policies, including decentralization and
  • strengthening health systems and governance

In this webinar we will open a space to reflect on: What does collaborative social accountability for health look like? Why does it matter to distinguish it from other approaches to social accountability used in the health sector? And what are we learning about implementing, supporting, scaling, and sustaining these social accountability approaches for health?
