Greening Social Accountability in Climate Finance

What does bottom-up accountability look like in the climate context? What are the specific challenges for civil society in implementing accountability in climate finance? How can citizens voices best be empowered? We want to hear from you, our Global Partners, and what you envision the role of civil society organizations in climate finance to be, as we develop new engagements in the climate sphere.

about the townhall

The global community is coming together to tackle the challenge of climate change and the scaled mobilization of financial resources underway is key to this effort. To ensure that everyone benefits from this progress, it's essential that citizens and civil society organizations are included and have a voice in the process.

The GPSA is taking a proactive approach and working to make this a reality by piloting initiatives that empower local communities and civil society organizations to participate in the implementation of climate finance. Together, we can create a future where climate finance truly works for everyone.

Join us for a thought-provoking hybrid event, where we will delve into the exciting new world of Green Accountability in Climate Finance. The GPSA Secretariat will present their new ideas, while two of our Global Partners will share their inspiring perspectives on accountability and civil society participation. Together, we will engage in an open discussion on how social accountability can be incorporated into climate finance for the benefit of all. Let's come together and work towards a brighter, more inclusive future for a sustainable planet.
