about the webinar

Join us for a fireside chat with the Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA) in partnership with People Powered, the global hub for participatory democracy!

Aly Rahim, Program Manager of the GPSA, and Josh Lerner, Co-Executive Director of People Powered, will dive deep into the realm of mainstreaming public participation, especially in the Global South, shedding light on the critical need for approaches to tackle the global challenges of civic engagement. They will explore the essential drivers for making participatory and deliberative democracy more inclusive of marginalized communities, engaging communities in responding to the climate crisis, and the ways to turn one-off innovation into systemic change.

We will discuss a comprehensive set of criteria for governments and organizations to handpick the perfect participation tools and learn how to enhance the accessibility, inclusivity, and security of digital platforms, drawing insights from the 2024 ratings of digital participation tools recently unveiled by People Powered.

The Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA) supports civil society and governments across the world to work together to solve critical governance challenges.
