Lukas Hertel
Lukas Hertel joined the GPSA in September 2021 as a Carlo Schmid Fellow and has since transitioned to become part of the Secretariat's Monitoring and Evaluation team. His work focuses on integrating an evaluative lens into activities across the program’s portfolio. This includes writing and editing reports for learning and communications purposes, contributing to project documents, as well as coordinating documentation and record-keeping for the GPSA’s operations.
His previous work placements include the U.K. Ministry of Defense, U.S. State Department, and Aspen Institute. His fields of expertise include institution building in conflict and fragile contexts and the operationalization of human rights principles in development work. Lukas holds a master’s degree in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Jacobs University Bremen.Social Accountability
