Andrew Lavali is the founding Executive Director of the Institute for Governance Reform (IGR). With over 20 years’ experience in governance and accountability promotion in Africa, Mr. Lavali became a 2021 Presidential Award winner for bringing high quality citizen-driven evidence into national decision making in Sierra Leone. Andrew manages a national think tank that uses social accountability approaches in monitoring public sector performance in Sierra Leone. He is skilled in designing and implementing parliamentary strengthening programmes, and had one of his recent reports, funded by the GPSA, the Service Delivery Index for health and education, debated and endorsed by the parliament of Sierra Leone in December 2021.
