Doussouba Konaté

Country Director

Accountability Lab Mali

As the Country Director at Accountability Lab Mali, Doussouba Konaté is catalyzing a new generation of active citizens and responsible leaders to develop and implement positive ideas for integrity and civic engagement.

With a wealth of experience in advocacy and program management, Doussouba serves as a Program Manager for Accountability Lab internationally overseeing the implementation of programs in several African countries including Mali, Niger, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Guinea-Bissau. She works closely with teams to strengthen the implementation of programs in the field of governance in these network labs.

Doussouba has overseen the implementation of the Lab’s flagship programs including Integrity Icon, Civic Action Teams (CivActs) and the Accountability Incubator across these countries. Through these the teams are promoting integrity in the public service, closing the feedback loop between communities and local authorities, and supporting young civil society leaders with innovative solutions to accountability issues.

Her hard work has also allowed her to participate in reputable international programs, where she has forged connections with like-minded people around the world as part of the Obama Leaders cohort for 2022, and as a Fellow for Feedback Labs. She was also nominated as a Social Change Intrapreneur as part of the Top 21 Young Impact Leaders  list by the Future of Good organization in Canada.

She is based in Bamako, Mali.
